OCC OMWI Website

In January 2011, the OCC's Office of Minority and Women Inclusion
(OMWI) was formed to meet the goals established in the Dodd–Frank Wall
Street Reform and Consumer Protection Act of 2010.

The OMWI Executive Director and Diversity and Inclusion Team are
responsible for developing standards for:
equal employment opportunity and the racial, ethnic, and gender
diversity of the workforce and senior management of the OCC;
increased participation of minority-owned and women-owned businesses
in the programs and contracts of the OCC, including standards for
coordinating technical assistance to such businesses; and
assessing the diversity policies and practices of entities regulated
by the OCC.

The OCC's Diversity Program
Recruitment - Outreach has been successful with our College
Recruitment Coordinator campus program along with sourcing through
targeted professional organizations, job fairs, and conferences. Our
summer hires and intern programs are designed to attract minority and
female high school and college students for a variety of positions.

Inclusion, Development, and Retention - OCC ranked as one of the "Best
Places to Work in the Federal Government" every year
Top 5 ranking in the category of Support for Diversity
Ranked #1 by Hispanic and Black employees among all agencies in 2010

The OCC's Business Activities Program - Approximately $118 million in
annual procurement actions representing about 1400 contracts
Most dollar volume of contracts for: professional, scientific, and
technical services (57 percent); administrative and support (12
percent); transportation and warehousing (10 percent); information (7
percent), finance and insurance (3 percent), and accommodation and
food service (3 percent)

The OCC's Regulated Entities Program - OCC regulates national banks,
which accounts for 22 percent of all US commercial banks and 71
percent of total commercial banking assets

practices of our regulated entities
